About & History
Kiwanis Khir Johari Foundation (KKJF)
KKJF was founded in 2008 as Kiwanis Malaysia Foundation (KMF) with the primary goal of supporting charitable, educational, and youth service projects in Malaysia. In 2020, KMF was renamed as Kiwanis Khir Johari Foundation(KKJF).
KKJF is a company limited by guarantee. It is governed by a board of respected Kiwanians, including Mr. Lee Kuan Yong (Past Governor of Kiwanis Malaysia and incoming International President) and Dato’ Stewart Labrooy (Past Governor and current District Secretary).
Initially, KKJF did not meet the criteria for tax exemption under IRB S44(6). With the establishment of Kiwanis Malaysia Association (KMA) in 2019, KKJF reactivated its application for tax exemption status. In essence, KKJF serves as a charitable arm of the Kiwanis movement in Malaysia, focusing on supporting community development and youth initiatives.

Kiwanis Malaysia Academy (KMA)
The Kiwanis Malaysia Academy (KMA) was established in 2019 as a committee under the umbrella of the Malaysian Kiwanis Association (KM). The decision to create the KMA came about after a summit attended by Kiwanis leaders and learning disability experts in August 2019. The proposal to establish the KMA was then presented and approved at the District Convention in September 2019. Dato' Fatimah Saad, a former Governor, was appointed as the Chairman of the KMA and continues to hold this position.
About & History
Persatuan Kelab-Kelab Kiwanis Malaysia or
Kiwanis Malaysia (KM)
Kiwanis International is a global organization dedicated to serving children and communities. Founded in 1915, it has grown into a network of volunteers working to improve the world. Kiwanis operates in over 80 countries with a motto of "Serving the Children of the World."
In Malaysia, Kiwanis was introduced in 1976 by Tan Sri Mohd Khir Johari. The Malaysia District was officially formed in 2003, and it now includes over 40 clubs with over 1,200 members. These clubs are registered societies under the Societies Act 1996 and are managed by their own boards of directors.
While Malaysia has a relatively small Kiwanis membership compared to other countries, it has made a significant impact, especially in the area of Special Education Needs (SEN).
